Before the first contact
Please read our general information.
Think about possible topics and prepare an exposé.
Then contact the person you would like to be supervised in your work.
Before registering your work
After the initial interview, you will develop a structured outline and plan your work.
To register your work
You will need a "Laufzettel" (routing slip), which you must submit to Team 5 of the Central Examination Office in order to register your work.
When you hand in the routing slip, your paper is officially registered and the processing period begins. The routing slip must be submitted to Team 5 within 7 days after it has been signed by the first supervisor.
Please remember that in the case of an extension of the processing time by 4 weeks for an empirical paper, approval by the examination board is required.
During the processing period
Now you start writing your paper. Please refer to the general information for the duration of the processing period.
Submitting the thesis
You submit the paper digitally via ExaBase.
For the evaluation of the work
The correction period is 3 months, after which your grade will be sent to the examination administration.
To transfer to the Master's programme
You can transfer to a Master's degree programme by 15.05. (summer semester) or 15.11. (winter semester) at the latest.
The exposé or project outline (proposal) is the starting point of a systematically planned scientific work. In preparation for an initial discussion about your BA thesis with a supervisor from our department, please write a synopsis (1 page) outlining the core of your topic. This forms the basis for further exchange and concrete planning.
General information on theses can be found in the Examination FAQ.
From an administrative point of view, if you have any questions about the examination regulations for the teacher training programmes, please contact the colleagues in Examination Administration - Team 5.
